Rachel Chudley is fascinated by colour, and the sensitive, joyful and theatrical palettes she creates for her interior design projects are testament to her instinctive eye for it. Together with her business partners Liz Chudley and George Chudley, she launched Rachel Chudley Colour with a view to offering luxury paints to an audience beyond her interior design clients.
Rachel Chudley Colour uses the full spectrum of pigments to create richly layered, expressive hues. The result is a collection of dynamic and luminous paints that subtly respond to light and their environment.
As Rachel says, ‘Colour has the power not only to transform spaces, but the way we feel within them. Creating this paint collection was about capturing that emotional and sensory experience - developing colours with real depth, movement and life.’
What makes the collection unique
The collection has been born out of Rachel's extensive experience with using colour in her interior design projects. Her passion for colour first led her to Donald Kaufman, her father-in-law and a master colourist who has formulated paints for some of the 20th century’s most respected artists and designers. Working closely with Donald for many years, Rachel learned to use the full spectrum of pigments to create coloured paints – a complex and rarefied process in which art and science meet.
Her deep understanding of colour and how to use it in enchanting, enlivening ways has made her one of the UK's most sought-after interior designers. This carefully curated collection of paints is designed for those who want to adopt Rachel’s expert approach to colour in their own homes.

Clients who come to Rachel Chudley Interior Design can access the studio’s bespoke colour service.
